Sometimes I love how this blazer fits, othertimes I hate it. Not sure why or which.
tie is darker than it appears...

The jacket fits quite alright, I really like the color and the buttons, I have something very similar myself. However the wrinkles on the arms might need some attention.
I think you need more contrast between the shirt and tie regarding color. From the pictures it looks as they melt together, even though you say the tie is actually darker. I would have selected a darker tie.

Looks fine. The sleeves are a bit long though.

agree on both counts. I am not sure how one would address the winkles in the arms. maybe letting the sleeves out a bit? They are long, it is something that I fought with my (former) alterations tailor about. They were an inch too short when I purchased the jacket and she let them out too much and refused to alter them back without charging me again(we agreed on a different length and it was clearly not that). I have been having a hard time finding a good tailor in the area to remedy some of these problems in the area.

Holdfast: Top half looks cool, bottom half looks warm. Not quite working, IMO.

A few thoughts...

I think the pink shirt w/ the white collar without the tie looked pretty nice with the seersucker. I would agree a ocbd or solid shirt of some ilk would be better in theory but I thought it looked pretty good. what was missing was a PS of some kind.

Contrast collars can work in the right circumstances, see Holdfast and his nice contrast collar shirts. I think they have a bit of a stigma especially in the US but I think they can be pretty snazzy if done right.

Orgetorix, that is a great suit and tie combo! very nice! Looks like you have lost some weight too, you are looking great sir !

Finally, in reference to my fit today. What can I wear this tie with? Any help would be nice as I like the pattern of it. Thanks!

Here is a close up

maybe it's that contrast collars have a bit of a Wall St (the movie) OTT eighties stigma. still popular on Jermyn St tho so mebe not so across the pond
