Details.

Yeah, maybe a bit over the line, but far from a mortal sin. I think I'd like it with a solid tie.

Notes to self:
1) I should give these boots a bit of a rest
2) I should never ever use this pose again

Welcome! I'm a newbie around here too!

This groups is pretty focused on 'proper' men's tailoring and your look borders more on streat wear and denim. So look out - the comments might get pretty brutal!

That being said - I think the look is fun and it shows that you have thought a good deal about what you are wearing - in particular the color and texture matching/coordination between coat, jeans, shoes, and socks! Your jacket sleeves and shirt sleeves are the perfect length. Your jacket a little short by 'correct' men's tailoring standards but it's au courant by current fashion standards. Your trousers are a good fit and the length is good.

Not sure that shirt and tie work together though - think about either a smaller scale pattern in the shirt or a more solid tie.

Estragon as in the charactor from 'Waiting for Gadot'?

I'd guess it's pretty close to a 38, but i'd have to take measures to tell you the exact size.

Of course you've gotta love it when someone refers to himself in third person. It kinda gives you the feeling that the poster is a man with great self esteem (or delusions of grandeur, you take the pick). With that said I think this outfit is great. I especially love the knit tie and cotton SC. My own contribution (which I hope doesn't call for holy water or stakes):

Your looks ROCK - their cheeky, current, irreverent and yet - almost proper all at the same time.

Because of your distinct jaw line, I think you look better in oval or rounded glasses. IMHO.

The costume designer for the movie "UP" had the old man wearing rectangle eyewear when he should have been wearing rounded frames!

Personally, I think a wool, or any other kind of knit tie is as summery (made up word perhaps, but I'm forgiven as i'm Swedish) as it gets. A tie doesn't really generate any heat, so it's all down to the level of formality. Summer is, more than any other time of the year, the time for casual attires. And a knit tie is very casual, due to both construction and material.

Maybe you're right, for this SC I could have gone with a pair of slacks with creases instead. Btw, I love the colour and fit on that suit.

Liking this shirt and tie combo a lot.

Is it possible to take your pictures from a higher position maybe? The upward angle is making you look "hippier" than you probably are. I'm liking that I can see some shirt sleeve there, but I don't know if the tie and shirt work together for me; they look a bit busy together. Maybe a solid tie? I'm also not crazy about the outline on the jacket, but that's probably just my taste.

Seriously though, nice summer blue and a great fit.

Thank you. I thought about a white shirt for a moment this morning, but then I felt like this was a day for mixing colours/patterns.
