Funny! I remember meeting Gary Dahl back in the 80's when he was attempting to launch a number of other gag gift items. Great guy. Because of his reputation with the pet rock he had an automatic job at any advertising firm in the country. They would say "We are going to have the guy who invented the pet rock work on your campaign. Clients loved it! He told me he didn't make a million bucks but he did make enough to open a bar and to buy a sail boat. He said he spent most of the gross revenue on getting enough rocks, just the right size, in time for Christmas that year. It was a huge hit that lasted from August until December.

From Friday, but just got around to posting it now.. The tie and shirt may or may not work together, but that's water under the bridge now..

Right on Gnatty. Everything is fine except the double check doesn't seem to be working there. Switch the tie for maybe a solid grenadine and you are golden!

^Sleeves do need to be a touch shortened.

That tie needs to find a match. I think you'd be better off with a solid, darker tie - maybe ever a darker turquoise, if you were so inclined.

The colors you are using would go better with a tanned skin. Solarium time

IMO this is a little too much in the marine/aqua/turquoise world overall. Is there something that could contrast effectively here? Maybe a pink or purple?

Sorry for the redundancy in my two images - the pocket square slipped down into the pocket on the shot of which I prefer the pose. It's a blue gingham cotton square. The trousers need some taper below the knee in particular.

Went for dark colors overall, as the last day of spring has turned out to be one of the coldest and most overcast.
