Lol. Really? The camera was positioned on the bin and the hob, respectively. I'm 5'11"!

Crusty, go to FNB and your transition to the Dark Side will be complete. Give in to your hatred, dear boy.

Lets play Saturday fill-in-the-blank FTFY.

I have a perfect answer for this, but I will be nice.

You need Manton's Emperor icon to make this work. Otherwise it's just lame... even with it, it'd just be lame.

Great reference. Do you think the EM-50 is SF approved?

FTFY, though I do agree with the original sentiment.

Its actually "Lighten up, Francis". I didnt think anyone would get that. Good job. The EM-50 is most definitely approved, as is frying GI's on the stove, the Razzle Dazzle, as is Innsbruck, Austria.

I enjoy the different fits of the different guys in this forum Spoo, Rob, PG, Nii, Old dog, Mike B., Lufty, Manton, Holdfast, MoK, Vox, Doc H. and your posts. None of you folks have anything in common, only that you are men who love their clothes. For schmucks like me, it opens endless possibilities on how to dress. SF has guided me on fits and proportions, what works and what does not. I love the fact that you posters show how an ordinary guy can dress extraordinarily well, not some fashion magazine of perfect men with perfect physiques that live in a world outside reality (betcha these models wear pins behind them for that perfect look). Just keep at it.

Well said. I get the same thing out of SF.

Nit -pick: The shirt fabric looks a bit heavy for pairing with a cream-colored summer suit. Button stance is high, too, but there's not much to be done for that. Still a very nice look overall.

Agreed. And what's more, if all the gentlemen leave the Forvm there will be no one left but assholes and douche-bags. Let's try to be different than the rest of the Internet.

Crusty,

I don't post in this particular thread due to the fact that in my profession, a sport coat is usually overkill and when I wear a suit a couple of times a year, well, typically get derided by a bunch of jackasses.
Anyway, I do check this thread quite a bit. I enjoy seeing all sorts of different styles yours being one of them. A lot of what is posted here isn't for me but I appreciate that people DO post.

And as for that other guy? Wow! amazing dick move.

Do you mean the color? The fabric itself is quite light (one of the lightest weights I own, in fact), but does have sort of a chambray look to it.

BTW, where you been, hoss? I was wondering if you were going to join the light suit brigade with me and Lufty yesterday.

In the pic it looks like chambray or even denim, but that's probably my monitor's fault. Carry on.

The a/c at work broke down during the last two weeks of the school year -- and now it's summertime -- so I've been living in shorts and t-shirts lately. Nothing worthy of WAYWRN.

I'll be posting pics soon in MC, though, for fit critiques on a couple SCs I picked up during the recent BB sale. I'll need your help with those, so be on the lookout.

It looks like it fits well, but what's that fabric? Also, if you care for comments beyond those requested, lose the tie and fix the pocket square.

I'd wear a wool/cashmere/linen tie with that suit, not a silk and I would suggest that if you are getting peak lapels, don't skimp on them. I don't like the way skinny notch lapels look and skinny peaks are worse, for my tastes. Also peaks on a fabric like that is a bit incongruous.

Lufty is correct. After my last, rather disastrous post, I came to the epiphany that to submit postings here was, implicitly, seeking approval, and that, ultimately, the only approval for my fits that I need is my own.

There have been many constructive criticisms of my postings here, and I have taken them to heart, much to the profit of my alterations tailor (I am much more conscious of fit now than I was prior to posting here, and I've also lost some 10 lbs. since the beginning of the year). For that, I thank you all, collectively.

However, it has become obvious to me that I will never practice the "house style", and that there are elements of my fits that invoke the psychosexual anxieties of clothing-obsessed but otherwise straight men, from which they need to distance themselves. Anything too colorful, too shiny or with too bold a pattern seems to make at least some of the locals crazy, and when I indulge in them, I get smacked - sometimes with an aesthetic basis for the smacking, sometimes not.

Simply put, posting here has ceased, at least for the present, to be fun, hence I am in self-imposed exile at That Other Website (though I have always cross-posted between the two sites since starting to post here actively).

psychosexual, really man.....?
