From ten feet away it looks very polished and professional, but as others have stated the tie really drags down the outfit. I am guessing it is a Men's Wearhouse jobber...I'd almost go so far as to say I guarantee it...

My second effort after my shoes being roundly criticized in attempt #1...My shoes are not hidden for that reason in this one, I just forgot to take a pic of them...they're just plain toe deep brown oxfords though, nothing crazy. Apologies again for my pictures being crappy due to not having a better camera, and for taking pics in a private bathroom, which is apparently faux pas...

Looks good. I like French cuffs with a jacket/suit sans tie.

Steven Hitchcock garberdine SB no vent, half lined summer suit, gauntlet cuffs.

Hermes tie - unknown PS
John Lobb St James's burgundy loafers

shoulder is not my taste, but well done regardless. You always prefer ventless?

This coat looks like it fits strangely - shoulders look extra padded, lapels are bowing a bit (too tight in chest?), and the shape looks a bit boxy. Maybe better pictures would help?

Thanks for all the input. Didn't realize my tie was such a downer, since I like it quite a bit. And since I started building my collection when I was even younger, most of them are pretty loud, so this one is among the more conservative - as horrifying as that may sound. Either way, I'll look around, and a solid burgundy is on the top of my to-buy list.

Considering we don't even have a Men's Warehouse over here, that seems unlikely. I got it from a small menswear shop in Vienna.

Thanks. I am actually aware of my sleeves being too long and will have them altered soon. My current tailor suggested otherwise, but she also tried to convince me by letting me do the bear hug pose >_>

Thank you. Plattsburgh's my favorite, and I like to slip in the occasional double dimple depending on the tie's fabric.

Probably not styleforum's cup of tea.
I have somewhat of an extremely small budget.

fbCEF.jpg

Homemade (/horribly made) blue oxford watch band - $0
AE watch - $15
nickit suede shoes from goodwill - $5
homemade seersucker pocket square (girlfriend advised against this) - $0
BB slim fit navy chinos - $39
Steven Alan madras shirt - $50
Rugby satchel - $125

Pretty good first post. That tie is unlikely ever to get much love round these parts. And for good reason! crazy.gif

The colors didn't come out to well. But the pants are green, the PS is kind of green, I am not sure what color to call it but it has a white overplaid which didn't come out at all. The jacket is H. Lesser Tropical [French Navy]

Really like the green pants but I'm not a fan of the buttons on the jacket, some nice MoP would rock it.

Terribly frumpy and overly precious at the same time. Quite a feat, I say.

Hi Paolo,

I'm down all the way with the color of those trou! Great color and somehow they work surprisingly well with the Navy DB blazer.

I'm not lovin' the shirt/tie combo though - they seem to fight each other.

This is the second photo in which you've worn those suede monks. And they are great shoes. I'm wondering however if your look might come off as considerably more balanced if you wore some rounder toed shoes. Or at least shoes that in some way had some more weight to them. You seem somehow not grounded with these elegant but slight shoes.

Rock on - you have a strong sense of personal style - keep on refining it.
