HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 5184

post #77746 of 78717

I really like this ^^^^ well paired combo- the yellow tie and the navy, Sotiris.  Maybe the best pairing for yellow.

Seajen, to my mind that fit would look just as good, perhaps better sans neckwear.  Very nice casual jacket, with sunnies you're good to go on the Riviera.:satisfied:

@Sander, you're so tall I guess that was the only way they could get all of u in the shot. Great fit.

Thanks, Pliny. I have worn a very similar outfit without the tie a few times and almost did again today, but decided to dress it up a little this time. It's one of my favorite S/S jackets and I would love to wear it on the Riviera.

@NickPollica

Looks great.

You seem pretty tall, do the eidos sports coats ever give you length problems? That one looks good, but is it mtm?

Does eidos reflect some of the other napolitan labels aimed at a younger market in terms of jacket length? i.e shorter

It's hard to say without the full length pic, but I think you'd benefit from a longer jacket.

I think that an R should normally fit you, in that case, but this jacket looks a little shy of CYA, but more than that, I think it would just be more flattering on you. It looks to me like the jacket ends right at your broadest and a longer jacket might just slim you out a touch. It could also be a lens distortion though.

Thanks - I'm 6'3" and this jacket is a 38L in Eidos' slimmest model (that is only carried by Haberdash), not MTM. I've actually gone out of my way to lengthen our RTW jackets and basically every store we sell to fights me about it. The model we sell the most of is 76cm (about 30 inches) long on a 40R and most stores have asked that I shave it to 73 or 74cm. That said, I've add a shorter model into the offering for Spring 15 but I don't plan trying to focus the business there.

sotiris continuing to crush.

seajen, very nice. if i am to nit, i would have liked a slightly lighter and less saturated blue in the shirt there. i do love the pic with the striped shirt and no tie very much tho. that is spot friggin on.

Yes, I see what you mean. If I raise he camera a couple of inches it may look differant. But, jacket length has been on my mind. I'll go back and have another look at this jacket. When I have tried on an L in the past it has "felt" to long but that could be that I'm just not use to it. I'll certainly consider it for future purchases. Many thanks for the feedback. Always appreciated smile.gif
