Thanks a lot, Pliny. And I have to thank my fellow SF members for teaching me a few things!

Great look! Do you know the movie Big Night by Stanley Tucci? It's one of my favourites. In one of the opening scenes he's wearing a nice brown suit and green tie combo. Your fit reminded me of that.

:)

Pliny, really nice colours and textures. Could the jacket benefit from a tad more waist suppression?

Pingson, great fit as always. However, the tie knot looks malnourished. One of those rare occasions a half-windsor might be called for, methinks.

Great movie, and good eye: Tucci's is a few shades darker, as is his complexion, and has a little more texture (IIRC), but the overall look is very similar.  The argument he has with Tony Shalhoub about the woman who wants a side of spaghetti with her risotto is painfully funny.

It's a pretty flimsy tie, so that definitely affects the size of the knot. Given the quintessential English hacking jacket I am wearing, think of it as an homage to Prince Charles, the master of small, tight tie knots nod[1].gif

They don't. However, eschewing cuffs will have a mitigating effect. Dressing monochromaticly adds height, while contrasting jacket/ trousers (and shoes) work to diminish height.

More?  When I read that I processed it as 'less' because I noticed  the pull on the left waist (but i think that's holding the arm up for the pic).  My most recent commissions have another 2" on the waist up from that gold suit pictured.   You know, I'm not a fan of waist suppression.  I like to have quite a bit of room, and to feel comfortable.  And it's a trick of my sway back, but if I have any waist suppression at all it translates to nasty big pulls across my right back, due to slight scoliosis.

C, is that the 516? It looks a lot like the Fresco I posted a few days ago.

(BTW cheers for the bottle green tie idea)

Crusty, you look great in those grays and taupes.  That's just beautiful all over. Shoe color choice is perfect IMO

This is great combination and perfect fit suit, Gray suit & pink shirt looks descent. Tie is more highlight because of dark colour and that look smart.
