Nantucket reds I find much more pleasing, I actually own a pair myself that I hope to wear if we ever get anything that remotely resembles spring here.....
Is patch madras a step too far?
If it provides any relief, blazer and khakis is my warm weather default. I break out the colors for a change of pace, but they get their most use while on vacation in Hawaii.

I can appreciate the aesthetic of patch madras even if that is something I would probably never wear myself. I really don't mind coloured trousers in general (even if it is more of a "preppy" thing) and there is really nothing wrong with the trousers you posted above, it's just that I am not a fan of that exact colour of green. YMMV of course....

Is this considered CBD?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Excuse the pulls and wrinkles, haven't pressed it in a while. Doesn't help that pics were taken end of day.

Are you wearing that tie because you're going to a picnic?

I'm just fucking with you, Ian. But, seriously, those accessories are either at the bounds of CBD or over the line.

It's considered awesome. Same goes for Pingson's comeback.

I is glad there's someone in DC who knows how to dress...unlike them people in the House of Cards.

Nice it is, but probably too flashy for a true CBD fit. The whole point of CBD as I have understood it is to not draw attention to what you are wearing. Even if every item in Ian's fit is within the bounds of CBD the combined outfit is probably out of bounds. Still a really great look though!

i agree, but i bet if the pics were not so close up it would be more visually sedate.

Much appreciated Pingson! Wasn't sure about my "picnic" tie wink.gif
I've always interpreted CBD as something that's very subdued and blends into the environment (in both fit and color) but curious to know how far to push.

Just three patterns today.  A little more coherent than yesterday I think.
