If it is too close -- and I'm not sure it is -- it's right on the razor.  There is something jarring about the way the pattern of the tie contacts the pattern in the lapels, but to be perfectly honest, it only came into specific relief when I went back to your question.  Could have even snuck a fifth pattern into the band on the watch... Damn fine, I say.

Thank you, @Academic2. I will live with the angled-to-shoulder look for a while and see how I like it. I suppose that I will probably be fussing around with my pocket squares for the rest of my life, which is not necessarily a bad way to entertain myself.

How old did you think I was? Lol

I am already looking at retirement communities.

It´s only a number. I will reach the age of 40 this year, so who cares?

No problem with the tie/jacket coordination, AAS, but I think this falls short of your usual high standards on two accounts.  First, the color coordination between yellow shirt and khakis offers too little contrast and makes for a jarring transition between top block and trousers.  Second, that jacket could seriously benefit from some suppression; given the proportions of your neck/arms/torso, it looks like it's hanging off you.

Just my $.02.

I think those are DR-made Filsons, but as for the pants...

Oh, no! For the first time ever, I hate your clothes! Jacket fit/ cut not up to your usual perfection, the yellow shirt....yeesh!

Had to wake up too early this morning... My love affair with knit ties continues, even though circumstances demand me to only wear 'boring' navy and gray suits at the moment.

5 De Mayo/opening night party at a new restaurant across from my condo. Couldn't get a babysitter :-)
