Even just the colors though. It just "pops" and is incongruent. I just think it looks distracting.

I am with pB on this one FWIW. (ie, not much :P)

THAT'S why I was digging it so much.

@edmorel , nicely done.

Yep, the vest would look better with a less shiny suit. I usually reserve odd vests for the more country fits, as it is much more congruent.

to each his/her own.. I am not going to debate if a non matching vest works or not.. for me, I liked the look..so thats why I wore it.. I am glad my outfit has sparked debate though.. thats cool, lol

Just want to say, normally comments like this on SF infuriate me. However, coming from someone as frequently well turned out as chocusa I can respect and appreciate it.

I have learned to compress the fury within me to a simple eye roll when I see comments like that.

I think pB should hang out here in WAYWRN more and critique the hell outta fits.

  Teach me your ways . . .

(My wife has actually commented that I do not hide my emotions well and has told me that she has caught me rolling my eyes while in conversation with others. I think she's exaggerating . . .)

Every time you feel the fury reach down and squeeze your testicles has hard as you can muster. If this happens to feel good to you, ignore what I just said.

Looking good Choc, I'm not a fan of vests or waistcoats in particular so for me I'd go for it without it... but you've got some style man!

I like knitted vests as Holdfast wears his, of course. I also like them with really casual suits: quiet tweeds, or perhaps a checked flannel. Jean-Pierre Leaud wears quite a few really well in Day For Night, but he also wears a nightgown.

I didn't "thumb-up" his fit because of the vest. Dressing is like writing: don't add unnecessary things to it.

Thanks to comparate me to Victor, very refined look.

For today I have a business appointement so I was less eccentric than usual.

The blazer is from Aquascutum, the silk tie is from Tommy Hiffilger, the silk pocket from Hermes. The double cuff shirt is from Charvet and the gold  cufflinks are vintage. I don't know where come from the cotton waistcoat it's seems to be a work traditional from a part of south of France call Provence, buttons are in mother of pearl.

I bought the button in England from Benson and Clegg, it's change everything. The trousers is a mix wool and silk from Pal Zileri.

The socks I don't remember and the shoes are from Stefanobi.

I hope you will appreciate.

As much as I enjoy your style, I really hate your tie knots. There, I said it.

Another rare cross-post from my other home to celebrate the second outing of a new custom made hat. Yes the suit needs pressing...
