HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 5052

post #75766 of 78717

If it's any consolation Ian, the rest of the fit is dope.

And I'm sure those pents can be made to work very effectively.

I just can't abide the two together.

I was also surprised with how many thumbs it received. That said, I applaud the effort and would encourage Ian to continue trying to employ those effectively.

@Coxsackie
@luv2breformed

Thanks guys. Glad no one suggested to burn them... I'm never going to tounge.gif

I'll keep trying different combos with these

I'd like to see those with a double breasted navy jacket. The shirt and tie would need to do something to tie those two together in terms of formality though.

Same here, where do you get your jackets from? The lapels are perfect.

I like the trousers, but not so much in this outfit. Perhaps a darker sport coat would work better.

@Claghorn thanks for the idea! I've actually got one finishing up at a local tailors!

@Monkeyface this one is Zegna Su Misura. Not familiar with the Zegna factories but it's made in Switzerland if that helps.

Hello sirs, thanks for the 8 thumbs yesterday--by far the most I have received :fonz:

I wish I had better photographic capabilities...

I like the direction you've been heading! I just noticed your tie knot a couple recent times being a little too loose. I'd recommend you tighten that sucker up. Keep up the good work!

Good call and thanks! :cheers:

beneven: another thought...I'm on the lapel flower train, but I tend to think lapel flower / pocket square should be 'either/or', unless you're going to a wedding or really working a very vintage look. having both just tends to look busy and I'm not sure I've ever seen it done in such a way that it really adds anything over just having one of them.

Beautiful suit DC.   I think 3-buttons is not optimal for your build tho

A really nice combination in all ways, IMO:  color, texture, and geometry.

Cheers,
