I really like this. Genuinely interesting and characterful. Well done. Are the trousers chinos or jeans (i can't be sure on my screen). If jeans, please consider entering this photo into this week's "Friday Challenge" for jeans/jacket/tie outfits.

He looks like he could be a stand in for a monty python flying circus skit circa ministry of silly walks.

@ianGP

It might be that we're both in the DMV, but you look like you're in No.VA. Your experiment seemed to have gone well!

Regardless of the temperature, I'm retiring the winter wardrobe completely this weekend (thought that happened last weekend, though). One just gets too bored wearing the same stuff over and over.

I like this and thumbed it, but I'd like it even more if there was just a bit more contrast in shade between the jacket and the trousers.

Looking at it in black and white makes the point quickest, I think.

Anyway, still very thumb-worthy, and just my humble opinion, etc., etc., etc., ...

Cheers,

D'Avenza part 2.

Tie really washes out in the pics - always has.  It is a light mint green, but not quite so pale as it looks here.

@Rudals Yeah, currently in FFX.
I used to go back and forth between Bethesda and NOVA but traffic IMO has gotten worse in recent years so I've relocated to a NOVA office.

Thanks for the thumb and the feedback, Ac.

Can't argue with your analysis.

Where's the jacket from?

Thanks, Patrick. Nope, it's a jacket. :satisfied:

@AAS--if you are in providence one more night you really should go to Hemenway's on South Main St.

I really like what you are trying here, but those pants strike me as VERY country. I think everything needs to go that direction a notch to match (the jacket feels like it's there however).

Shoes: I would go to a blucher in pebble grain.

Tie: Something with some texture, this one feels too smooth to me.

Shirt: This really needs to be a plain oxford IMO preferably a rough mottled blue one

I really like your effort here. Please keep trying.

I agree with some of this. You're right about the shirt, but the tie looks fine in one pic (too shiny in the other), and I think the shoes are fine -- admittedly, I say that as a bit of an Anglophile.

I do, however, wish the jacket had less pattern, or was at least a bit darker. Or was a navy blazer. :devil:

I really like the silhouette, though, and IanGP, I vote yes on the bold pants -- they fit the rest of how you dress.
