Looks like I stumbled into the styleforum Texas meetup thread by mistake.  :puzzled:

why would anyone want to live anywhere in texas at all though? is this like one of those, if you had to do so what would suck the least, type of situations?

People have different preferences, of course. I think one of the best things about this forum is when we acknowledge a person's preference and discuss the best way to execute it. So the focus is on execution. Given a certain set of preferences, Texas is probably the best place in the world (especially if you want to live in the United States and not deal with a super shit economy). Given a certain set of preferences, I'd say the Bay Area also can't be beat. Same goes for the Pacific Northwest. But if you want to live in New York, you'd probably be happier in London. If you want to live in Florida, go move to the Mediterranean or some Caribbean island. If you want to live in Baltimore, I don't know, maybe try a landfill? :nest:

My city preferences, if I could live anywhere (only going to places I've been to)

London

San Antonio (I really love Mexican-American culture, and everywhere else in the US is way too white)

Hong Kong

Berlin

San Francisco

Munich

D.C.

Busan

i am not from baltimore, merely live here because of the excellent jewish community and my family, but i would never profess it to be a great city, or even a good one.

i am a denver and a mountain man at heart, and that is teh best place to be for me.

lol texas being the best place in the world, what an effing homer.

Given a certain set of preferences. All things equal, though, I'd take London any day.

I would very much like to go to London. And Scotland. That whole area really.

Oh, and Australia and New Zealand.

And Switzerland and that area too.

I want to go to a lot of places. Someone please give me 100 mil USD.

I'm sure 100 mil. Australian, New Zealish, Canadian, or most other dollars, would also be sufficient.

I would love to live in Dubai - I hate hot weather but I would be willing to tolerate it with the climate on in a Ferrari lol8[1].gif - or Monaco or Australia. biggrin.gif

Just sayin'

I've spent some time in Dubai. Those people have way too much money! It was an experience, to say the least. Live there...never.

I've never met an Australian I dislike. I'm sure there are a few out there. I dunno. I feel that Australians and Texans jive somehow.

I lived in Australia for four months.  Most of the people there I didn't like were Canadian, American, or Eastern European, ex-pats.  Off the top of my head, can't think of one Australian I met that I didn't like.
