^I'd venture a guess that the fabric ofVictorSF's jacket is Donegal tweed.

Very very beautiful ties..

This is completely outrageous. TTO? FTW! I'm lovin' it. The tie is just so wrong, it's right.

As you've probably all worked out by now, while I fully respect the subtle, beautifully-matched, "good taste thread" looks put together by so many of the accomplished sartorlalists on this thread, it's the rule-breaking stuff I truly admire. TTO is one of the giants in this arena.

Still, as the good elves at Audemars Piguet are wont to remind us, "To break the rules, you must first master them." I should probably print this out on A4 paper and stick it to the inside of my wardrobe door.

all in all, good stuff.

@in stitches: Thanks a lot! What kind of pants would you have recommended? The trousers are 100% cotton (moleskin?) from Suitsupply, kind of like the off-white Jort trousers, but not from the Jort collection. It's a very soft cotton. I'll try to get a detailed picture of the texture.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a full fit picture yesterday. Maybe, I'll take a quick shot during the weekend.

I wish I could get my linens to wrinkle like that. Is there any canvassing in the lapels or are they entirely unstructured?

Cheers! It's half canvassed.

A damp and chillier day in NYC than the previous two - warmer clothes with which to end the week. Bah . . . .

X post from the Friday challenge. I simply had to go for my pink Canali tie for the 'light tie' challenge. Funny thing is, I've never worn it with this shirt before so I was able to pull a new combo together as a result!

Friggin' cold this morning, hopefully one of the last days this "spring" that calls for a three-piece suit....

^Gorgeous tie, but would like a little more contrast in colors between it and the sport coat.

Thanks! Which color would you have recommended?
