Yeah, some sort of silk/linen/flax combo. Thanks!

I really like this, MF. That's definitely the type of jacket I could see working well with jeans as well.

My only quibble would be with the tie, maybe too bright? Everything else is fantastic.

For the FC. In hindsight, square is probably too matchy (although I think it is slightly better up close):

I liked the square at first impression.  Then I thought "oh but it matches the tie."  I think not matching the square to the tie is, generally, a good rule, and would not classify it as groupthink, but I believe you've got a very nice exception to that rule.

Everything is too pale and blends in together. It would've been better without this PS. I really like the shoes-socks-pants combo. In general, all the elements are wonderful and changing just one thing would result in an excellent outfit.

i think you need some more contrast in that top block.

I don't like the schnieder coat. Perfectly, too long and too short.

Feeling the spring CD? Is the FC "hope for spring?". Anyway, ignoring whatever constraints for that...

I agree with the others on more contrast above, e.g. university strip BD with (if solid) a darker blue linen/raw silk tie or grenadine/kit. Slate blue would be nice, perhaps, not too dark but still enough contrast. Square might still work, I suppose. Suede loafers are great. Wish I owned a pair.

This is exactly what I wore to the wedding.

Father in-law wanted to buy me a suit.

This might not be SF compliant (if there is such a thing) but I tried with very limited time.

Wife picked this one out and wanted me to wear this instead of a tuxedo.

I wanted this wedding to be all about her so I did as she wished.

I had no shirts or ties. So I was able to muster this $15 tie and a $80 shirt in an hour.

This was actually quite fun but shopping for clothes in a foreign country is just really challenging.

I had to work with a lot of unknowns but tried and made the best of it.

Shoes are my first C&Js.

NOTE(S): The first button on the jacket is way way too high. and this was a RTW suit and the only alterations done were on the pants.

Don't know where all the wedding pictures are but they're coming. Actual pic from the wedding.

Rudals, where does your wife keep your balls?
That's pretty good, Noodles. Congratulations on your nuptials!
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Buttoning point is high, and the jacket is hinging a bit on the button, closing the lower fronts.

In her freaking LV purse..."sigh"

I could've gone to Field Tailoring and gotten a bespoke suit for this.

I did as she wish because I felt like it was her day. :D

I find this whole soft, look, subtle quite aesthetically pleasing.  Don't know why, but I just like it.  Perhaps I just want it to be spring.
