Hmmm... what about a navy grenadine tie?  That would seem to match better and bring more attention to the shirt which is what should really draw the eye.

Haven't been on in a few years. There used to be a Russian guy that posted daily. I believe his name was Victor. Anyone knows what happened to him? Does he still posts?

Second ever Styleforum fit pic; first in WAYWRN.  Apologies for the bright window lighting and iPhone quality pic.  Question: this is an odd jacket by Samuelsohn that I picked up secondhand.  I know the person had it made as an odd jacket and not as a suit, but does the fabric scream "suiting?"  It's a Holland and Sherry faint glen plaid with a barely visible royal blue overcheck, 90/10 wool/cashmere and with a beautiful hand.

Pretty good first crack. :)

I think that jacket is a little too subtle to be an odd jacket just as you seem inclined to believe as well. Looks more suit to me, but I have seen a lot worse examples used as odd jackets. Are the hip pockets patch or flap?

Thanks--they are flap pockets, alas.

Yea, bummer. Still, I wouldn't hesitate to use it as an odd for a while. I would just actively be looking for a replacement if you know what I mean.

Couple other points for some food for though: your tie knot looks a bit large, is it a full windsor? I would reduce it to a half or fih or double fih personally. Also, it's hard to tell but it looks like your square is TV-folded. I would puff it a bit more to give it more life. These are a couple easy things that might elevate your look a bit. YMMV

Tired.  Good night.

No problem, pB. Everyone's entitled to their wrong opinion. smile.gif
