Very classically elegant. Have you ever considered narrowing the sleeves a bit? I've noticed the billowing on all of your suits.

Thanks, and no, since it's actually a pitch issue, not a width issue. Consensus has been that the pitch thing is cost-prohibitive to fix and unnoticeable 95% of the time anyway. It does tend to show up in "robopose" photos, but not otherwise.

here is today:

I believe so! And I wish that people here in MC would have been this involved with thumbs a while back. I think that this is in large part due to the compendium thread, and I am happy about it.

Stanley, that tie would be great if it were summer. Don't know whether you are just shouting out Spring on its first day back to school

I agree.  Strongly.

This gets back to a discussion we had on this thread not too long ago about why and when people ‘give thumbs’.  Like some, but not all, others here, my decision is often influenced by a particular person’s history of previous posts, especially if that history gives me a clear sense of what that person is trying to achieve.  Upr_crust is a difficult one, for me, as without doubt every one of his posts is thumb-worthy, but he has so specific a look and so well-defined a public persona that I like best those that are consistent with that.  So in addition to being more flattering to his complexion, for me the autumnal color palette better projects the gravitas that is the defining characteristic of the persona he’s projecting, and he projects it in everything from the poses he adopts to the art books in the background.

If he reads this,I do hope he understands that the fact that I’m going to the trouble of posting this instead of merely clicking yet another thumb is intended as a sign of appreciation.

Cheers,

Ac

It's hot here. It's practically summer. I walk the dogs in shorts.

That has got to be one of the nicest things anyone has ever written about me, and yes, it does count for more than another thumb, by far - thank you! satisfied.gif
