Great Combo! The color in the tie is gorgeous! What shoes are those if you don't mind me asking. They have a great tone as well.

Don't be sad. Minus the vest I feel the same way about your fit!

It happens..... but rarely. I can't say that is a common occurrence that people comment on how I dress, except for the occasional snide comments from my colleagues - which frankly I couldn't care less about.

Maybe you should just start asking random people in the street what they think about your clothing?

The suit is nice, but I think low-cut DB waistcoats like this are best reserved for formalwear; a more typical suit DB waistcoat might work a bit better. YMMV on this though, and if you like it, that's enough for me!

With the buttons done up, I don't like that vest. It buttons too high. Undo at least one button, probably two, and colour-wise I think it will work quite well in that fit.

Thanks for all the nice feedback from many people on yesterday's DB/bow-tie look. I figured SF would like that one, but not to the level it appears you did. Either that, or the recent "thumb inflation" has reached Weimar levels...

Today will not be anywhere near as popular, but hey, it was sunny, warm for March, I wasn't working, so went for a walk in the park and a little light shopping. Without getting too political, I can also report that my grin remained firmly in place after hearing some of the measures in today's Budget.

I like that look alot HF. Lately I have been obsessed with wearing blazers/suits with tees and sweaters. Especially crewnecks.

Thanks! It's something I want to do much more of in casual fits too, esp. with summer on its way. I really want to move away from polo shirts and towards crewnecks, either tees like today or light cotton sweaters if it's cooler. As an experiment, I'm also getting some Nehru collar shirts (possibly hybridised with a kurta style top) as a halfway house for a slightly smarter look that can slot in between the crewneck and a more usual BD collar shirt. I have a hairy chest so deep scoop or v-neck tees aren't really an option for me, though I quite like them in an abstract sense.

I'd really like to know what tips/lessons you've learned so far in your own experiments?

That cut in the bingo tax is worthy of your grin, Doc.

My son says "You look pretty, daddy" almost every day as I leave for work. Of course he's just humoring me, the handsome son of a gun.

I do get regular approval by both my wife and kids, and that's pretty much all the approval I need smile.gif

imo the look works better with looser tees. Nothing too constraining. Sometimes the tees i wear are oversized that they are longer than the jacket. As per sweater it all depends on what you pair it with.

Most of the jackets and suits I wear with this look with are very relaxed and unstructured. no padding, no canvassing, NONE!!!
