UC, is that a 1.5-breasted waistcoat? Looks like the overlap is less than what one usually sees on double-breasted waistcoats.

I definitely agree. There's a section in one of Flusser's book (Dressing the Man, I think) about how lower gorges are preferable for taller men. Flusser use some old pics of Gregory Peck (6'3") and Cary Grant (6'2") as examples and those pictures really changed my view on gorges...

It's a conventional six-button double-breasted waistcoat, AFAIK, though it's my first. I'll have to photograph the waistcoat with nothing in front of it - next time I wear it - the waistcoat is obscured a bit by the jacket in the photos posted.

I was gifted this amazing silk PS from a dear friend. It belonged to her father and is from the 1930's. Super thin, hand printed with handrolled edges.

I finally got around to having this third Caraceni suit altered. The working buttonholes made lengthening the sleeve somewhat of a pain, but in the end it worked out OK.

And here's my look is not finished yet ... it is a very old vintage silk jacket. He has more than 50 years that piece of silk. The tie is obviously a bespoke Passaggio Cravatte. And the shirt is always a bespoke D'Avino.

What did I miss? Had no internet since Thursday because of downed lines and given the pace of this thread, catching up is not in the cards.
