@clarinetplayer - love that tweed suit.

Thinking the shirt choice may be wrong here. Thoughts? Any recommendations other than good old light blue?

I like everything but the tie doesn't seem to fit for some reason.  Maybe too shiny?

Whoa Nellie.  No pun intended.  Why are they doing opera in March anyway?  All I need are flowers and a hat and I'd be ready for the Easter parade. In Lent yet.  In lieu of my peak lapel white linen dinner jacket and other such attire.......  (the color of the jacket show differently in these photos; I would say its somewhere in the middle of all three).

(Brioni jacket, Peter Millar shirt, Brooks tie, generic Saks white twill pants, Lobb in lapis museum calf.)

You write with the tone of a bitter person and then act surprised when this is pointed out.

I would question your understanding of things such as tone, and words. We can agree to disagree since I feel like I'd make better progress trying to teach the alphabet to a doorknob.

Once the clothes are visible and you can see the fabric / colours / fit well enough, then you'll be grand. My pictures aren't best but I don't think I'll get out the tripod just yet (I don't actually have one). I might start doing better shots for the Friday challenge as that's more a fun thing, but for daily "What are you wearing right now" fit shots, your photos are perfectly sufficient.

From my own perspective: Not so much a male model wannabe as someone genuinely interested in visually pleasing photography. I think it's quite natural that you would be interested in both the aesthetics of classic menswear and good photography. How better to present colours, textures etc.

And yes, I'm not one of the better photographers here, even though I like playing around with a camera I lack the technical interest for all advanced features of a camera that's required.

@Claghorn very nice as usual

@Pingson Nice suit, like the pleats (I like both pleats and FFs depending--that's were I stand if anyone cares to know), nice head of hair on ya; compliments all around! :fonz:

I've got a similar shirt, a narrow blue-on-white 'candy stripe' thing. Any time I find it's not working with something, I tend to fall back on another shirt I have which is basically the same thing only it's white self-stripe just with blue *edges* to the stripes (don't know the technical term for this, sorry). Similar effect, but subtler, easier for other things to work with. Maybe it's a cop-out, but it usually works at least as a quick fix. My thought, anyhow. edit: I should say, though, I actually kinda like the shirt in your look.

I memorized 100 digits of pi for math club today.  Happy pi week!  Notice the pocket square/lapel pin color coordination.  #3.14  Also, it was 60 degrees today.  Feeling springy.

Plus, for no other reason than that it's close to the end of the season, a snap of the overcoat I was wearing today:

Guys this doesn't have much to do with this thread, but does a silk ps substitute for a linen one for suits? Including those worn to interviews.

Thanks!

Also @aas, love the watch strap! Have one in blackwatch?
PUN!
