HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 4817

The thread is what is posted in it.

Anyway, Coxsackie, it could be just me, but I think that sort of woven leather belt looks out of place in a jacket-and-tie combo. Also, the pants/jacket contrast looks a bit iffy in these pics.

personally I don't give thumbs unless I mean it.

Yeah, but he's definitely gotten better within that style. It was never bad, but there is a noticeable improvement.

I'll generally give thumbs either because I like something or because someone has shown immense improvement.

I also tend to give a thumb anytime Crust uses the phrase "silly man."

Can a woven belt be worn with a summer look? Casual linen SC/shirt/tie/trousers/loafers?

AAS, i would love to see you in nice wool trousers with your dressier wool SCs. i think it could be a game changer.

I think a woven belt can easily be worn with a SC/trousers combo or even a suit but it would need a finer weave than this one to suit a more formal outfit.

whooweee, I really dislike this tie! seems like your consistent high level of style and combinations are way above what this tie can offer.

Camera doesn't pick up the lite-blue in these Kamakuras. They use a variety of cottons-  this one's a super-crisp moisture-sucking Xinjiang.

Panta grenadine

Always grateful for feedback, and I will of course give your comments serious consideration.

However, the choices were deliberate. The informality of the belt matches the relative informality of the "jumper" boots as well as their colour. And the overall palette of this fit was intentionally narrow. I sought to focus attention away from the fabric colours in order better to feature their textures. Perhaps this gets lost in photos.
