@stitches: Thank you. Unfortunately it doesn't see much wear, as it gives me a hard time too:-/

@sugarbutch: Yes, I think you could be right. Had it taken in a little (too much perhaps) a few months ago.

Wow,

Some really nice outfits. DC, the Stuttgart pic is great. Holdfast, give us a better shot of the new jumper next time, ok?

This is me today. Colors are less bright IRL.

It is to you whom I defer to make a difficult choice. I have a choice of two bow ties to wear to return to college in the morn. Everything else is decided from the usual suspects. More under the cut!

La Valiere Burgundy Bow Tie (100% textured silk)

And in the blue corner

Black Bow Tie with recurring silver eagle motif
For the curious, 'tis a relic from my prep school days, the bow tie of my house, Spread Eagle

All advice graciously recieved.
Thanks gents!

Too stiff. Are they silk? They need a bit of louche. Put them in a bag and beat them with a stick for a while.

Sometimes I'm mystified as to why certain fits are overlooked (or perhaps actively disliked) on this threak. I love the above combo - the tie clashes with everything else but in a really beautiful way. (Holdfast "got" it.)

Where's mimo, BTW?

Mimo lives in Vienna (I think). Austria is not Germany.

I am wearing a slightly outrageous fit today and might just get some photos done and post them.

Doesn't he live in the UAE?

Close, he lives in Oman, and is a bit busy with a new job.  It is not "mimo" but "Timo(tune)" who lives in Vienna.

Nice to know you care, Butch, back soon. :)

Happy Monday all,

I am not sure if this combo is the best. Let me know you thoughts. Thank you.

@Rudals, shirt collar is really nice and the overall outfit looks good. Plain light blue shirt will make it pop but that is like everything SF where any fit could still be better.

Something with a bit of color to start the week.

Thanks. Funny that you would mention plain blue shirt as that's pretty much what I wear everyday. I am trying to add patterned shirts to my rotation. Thanks again.

I hope your tie summons the Spring Crusty.

That's my hope as well, but after a weekend of pleasantly above-freezing temperatures, NYC is back to winter again frown.gif.
