Dripped bacon grease on my shoes at breakfast.  Such internal conflict of love and anger. :spam:

I've dripped bacon grease on my shoes twice...get them to a VERY GOOD cobbler ASAP...otherwise your shoes may be in trouble.

@J011yroger, you'll see why I tagged you in a second.

Next month we will have to do a twins fit. Nantucket reds, repp ties, and white OCBD. I won't wear bucs until memorial day though, so we will have to agree on shoes.

Actually, that would be a cool idea for a challenge, pick a partner, and both do as close to identical fits as you can.

I would have loved to wear my white suede bucks with the fit!

Calm down noodles it's a friday. You're going to make me spill my mint julep!

LOL...I've been really stressed out because of the big event coming up. My apologies.

Rudals, do you love or hate the tux?

@Monkeyface.

I hate tux.

Why? I have hard enough time figuring out how to dress well in suits.

Tux is just another challenge that I am not ready to tackle yet.

i had hoped:

1. the brown stripe in the tie would be enough shoe/beard color to work.

2. the largely spread apart stripes would work.

perhaps i was mistaken.

One might cite a "rule" which this goes against, I suppose.  Nevertheless it has a logic, and to my eye this works in the same way one of your previous fits worked, one which some people (not I) thought a bit too matchy:   from the top down the beard, tie, and shoes all seem to belong to the same family.  There's a pattern to it, and it contrasts with the suit.

In a word, this works for me because it looks *purposeful*, not accidental.   But it's not the kind of thing concerning which one can expect unanimous agreement.

( I do agree it's a lovely suit, by the way).

Cheers,
