As for suspenders, well, I dig them. I've started making the commitment of removing the belt loops on more and more of my suits, though I think a single pleat would be enough for me. still nice.

DC, I'm jealous of your grenadine ties

Here's today's fit
jacket is pretty much unconstructed and pretty thick material.

and for the sake of suspender talk… I have other colours on order, still in the adaption process. Hence the belt loops:blush:

great to have you posting here, I really like your style!

On so many levels, this is splendid--the colors, patterns, pleats, etc... But the braces--with that adjuster in the front--catch my eye. Nice touch of sprezz all 'round.

Thanks, clarinetplayer! I didn't expect double pleats to have such a positive reception.

Pliny, that's a very beautiful jacket! Love the colours, even better in combination with that tie.

In Stitches, thank you for the pleats insight. Unfortunately most of my suits have a lower rise, as that seems to be standard OTR in Europe these days, that and no pleats. Depending on the fit it can work with suspenders, but a higher rise would be ideal. As I start getting more and more MTM I will work on getting a higher rise and perhaps a single pleat with a fairly tapered leg, hope it works.

Thank you Timotune.

@daDudeson

Depending on what you're looking for I've noticed plenty of Brioni, Zanella, Borrelli pleated trews on ebay. Belvest suits mostly come with them as well.
I bought some myself and don't mind the pleats. Nicely relaxed feel and look, just need to get some suspenders like MF and you so nicely sport.

Even though we're set to get another 2-4" of snow today, I am so tired of jeans and hiking boots that I've decided to dress up - a bit. Today's tie is a new acquisition, being given a test run.

Everything today is BB, except for today's pocket square (RLPL), today's cufflinks (David Donohue for Cable Car Clothiers, SF) and today's scarf (Johnston's of Elgin).

Note also that I've changed lighting from compact fluorescents to LED bulbs, which has taken the yellow out of my photos. Colors are truer to life (though now I have to add yellow back in, a bit).

Is that a tab collar my good man? Don't see very many other posters making such a choice, though the spreads and button-downs are the more commonly-seen, I feel like the tab has a nice rarity and uniqueness that you pull off with aplomb. I applaud you

Thank you - the collar is indeed a tab collar. Today's shirt was made as a part of my first order of MTM shirts from Brooks Bros., sometime in the mists of history, as the combo of tab collar and double cuffs is nearly impossible to find RTW. I like tab (and eyelet) collars on occasion - one of my many eccentricities.

Went for something a little different.

Before I joined SF this is what I bought and thought was the best that I could buy.

I am ready for the SF firing squad.

Just thought I try this on today even though EVERYTHING about is is non-SF compliant.

Only thing I would change is the shirt collar. Longer points so it extends to the lapel and taller collar to match your neck length.

I would have also pointed out the width of the tie being too narrow.

Collars are definitely not cool (per SF standards).
