For the Friday Challenge. But I'm not sure what the point is anymore -- totally outgunned. Nice work, guys.

Looking good! I have to ask and maybe someone else has asked before.... I'm not sure how tall you are but for having a very strong bodied physique, why did you choose to go with such a dare I say flimsy pant cuff?! I believe I've seen you with thicker ones before but from looking at this one, the drape on the lower leg is clearly f*cked because of the lack of weight holding them down. Other than that, really nice get up!

X post from the challenge.

@Butler defines impeccable!
@GMMcL : Don't downplay that terrific SC! It is well tailored; your choice of tie etc.... is perfect.

Anden, InStiches, GMMcL, Cleav, Cotton Dockers, NOBD, faribeana88, et alia:  lots of beautiful suede shoes in the past couple of days.  I haven’t had a pair since high school (desert boots back then) and you’ve left me wanting one.

Unfortunately I can’t think of anything in my wardrobe I would wear them with, so my bank account will remain intact.  But you’ve left me with a bad case of unsatisfied shoe lust.

Life is hard.

Cheers,

Ac

Check out the newborn master of ties!  Walking the walk, now talking the talk, eh Noodles?

Regarding Butler's post-- I feel like I would get the smackdown if I posted that for the matching square/tie/shirt business and contrast collar. Butler carries it off exceptionally well, which is a product, I think, of a well defined and captured sense of personal style. I think this type of look works great for him, as all of his looks usually do.

Several complements in there, so thanks!
I'm just under 6 foot and a little less athletic than my doctor would prefer me to be.
The cuffs on these particular trou were dictated by the amount (or lack) of material available at the time I had them hemmed. I had a pair of un-cuffed flat fronts, and wanted cuffs. I thought I could get away with 1.25 (I usually prefer 1.5-1.75, but no more).

Some have observed, via PM, that my feet and legs are disproportionate because of the lens/camera angle I use, and that could be part of it, albeit small. And the issue with the drape isn't helped by my stance, with my weight all on that one leg and hip out.

Either way, I see what you're driving at and will consult with my gal to see if there isn't something we can do to make the trou line up better.

Well played, Butch.  Man you tie that bow neatly - I guess it helps that the tie is so thick.  And as I said a while back, I think a bow tie is always best with a waistcoat, or a DB if there isn't one, just to keep it from getting lost in a wilderness of shirt front.  Nice stuff.  Personally I always like a little contrast in there, so the bluebluebluegreygrey thing could be a bit flat. But all those textures and shades kind of make up for it, and you could be wearing red crocodile balmoral boots for all I know, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Next time, do one with your axe around your neck, standing on top of an Alfa Romeo.  (We can do requests, right?)

Very nice, in all the details.  I have been thinking I want a pink Winchester shirt - now to find one that costs more like $60, instead of $360... and a grey suit to wear it with, might help.

Potential entry for the challenge but based on what I have seen, it won't pass muster:)

I considered a different color for the hank, but it was time to leave the house, so this is where I landed. I am wearing purple socks, though...

kulata, the tie seems a bit wide and the knot verging on huge, but I'm digging the overall vibe.
