Yeah I will probably do that (only just a tiny bit though), and also adjust the sleeves and the legs a bit. It isn't pulling when I'm still, but a slightly more room at a few places would maybe benefit it. Anyway, it's a new piece and still kind of making notions on how I want to alter it. I like a simple tie clip as it allows me to give the tie a bit extra curve and shape. I like a tie 'popping out' of a db :satisfied:

Gonna respectfully disagree about the pattern and colors being old and musty. I happen to like a gun club or district check and the colors are just what I want for summer. I really dislike solid colors (other than brown and navy) for sportcoats as I like to have some pattern and fun with jackets. Sorry you dislike it but it is my favorite jacket by far.

Some thoughts on the last posters.
upr, I like this apart from the shoes. Nice to see dark socks on you. :)
Kappelan, I'm starting to be a fan of yours. Like the fits especially. Your blog is good, too. The only thing I would change here is how you fold your ps.
Holdfast, the windowpane is amazing, and the tie is not bad. Those shoes are beautiful.
Citan, I've missed your earlier posts with this jacket, but I'm already quite full of the pattern and the colors. It reminds me of things old and musty, sorry. The fit is good, but the sleeves too long. Tie, shirt and pants look OK.
Today and last week's Friday, which was freezing.

First one I like a lot. Although the stacking on the trousers looks a little strange. Second outfit is definitely not my thing.

I like your coat. But, I am not sure that the blue striped tie is the best match for it. What about a solid....say, a light "strawberry" red tie?

These do not possess anything like the classic conception of fit. The wrinkles, pulls, and bunching do not flatter you. A size up in everything would maintain the youthful, fashion-forward look while adding some of the panache that should accompany tailored clothing.

-Sleeves are too long
-sloppy tie knot
-top button undone
-shoulders look a bit wide
-and there's a possibility that you buttoned your top button into the lower buttonhole of your jacket
Better luck next try.

lol, that was my swag, yo.

you really should be posting in the peacock thread. :)
