I've enjoyed this immensely.
Today: Burberry. 12 year old tie. F**k it.

Hehe I figured. But personally I think that a higher gorge, especially with a peak, makes the shoulders and chest look proportionally wider too, which even as a tall man is good for you. Anyway, there's no hard and fast rule on these things and it is definitely an iGent fixation as you've said. Seeing you in this reminds me of the Prince of Wales somehow - and not just the pattern: I've seen him in something similar and with a lower gorge. Unlike you, he's a man of average (or in Sweden, below average) height, with rather droopy shoulders, and I don't think it flatters him.
Anyway, it is nevertheless a lovely suit and you are immaculate as usual. And who cares what mimo thinks? It's Pingson's suit. :)
NOBD, I like the texture on that jacket though it appears to have a high button stance. Not sure about the green trousers though. Might have gone with a shade of brown Moleskins with enough contrast to your shoes, which would accentuate the colorways on the scarf.
Whoah! Don't think I'm on your case - we're all friends here, and I liked your fit yesterday! You asked for suggestions, you got some. Don't ever be put off. People on here say all kinds of crap, me included. It's only the internet. OK, I know you're kind of kidding...but...just in case.
You, however can take me as seriously as you like (as if!)
That looks great, and is a really good example of what a small upgrade from denim amounts to: you've got practical, robust, strong casual trousers there. Just like jeans. You might even be able to kick a football with Sugarbutch. And yet this looks so much more gentlemanly than a pair of Levi's. You're a stylish dude, NOBD.
Just one small nitpick: there's quite a lot of belt and shirt on show there, I guess because the trousers have a lowish rise, but also as the Prof said, the button stance is a shade high. Lovely texture on that jacket though. And untuck your pocket flaps. :)
