The austerity and restraint just screamed at me for a plain black cap toe rather than a quarter brogue or adelaide. Dark brown brogue would have been fine too (and very American), but the black brogue... it's like a tiny itch at the back of your throat. Like a painting that's just ever so barely off you could only discern the truth of it with a laser level.

I'm yankin' ur chain dude. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Though I would have preferred the clean black cap. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
But it's not really a big deal. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Which, Let's be fair, outside the ramifications of internet fora, is no one. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
But still, there are those. Someone knows. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
No they don't. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Yes they do! Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Shut up! It looks great! Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

You have no idea what you're talking about. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Sure, but does that really set me apart from anyone else around here? Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Probably not, but it's worth mentioning every now and then. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Duly noted, now can we quit recursing down this tree and get back to the thread? Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Fine by Me.

By the way has anybody else ever noticed that the word "spoiler" is... weird? Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Shut up!

It's the little things.

First day back at work.  The shirt is navy and red check.  The tie is navy and red stripe from Italy.  I'm not sure that the jacket works, but I wasn't sure what else to wear with it.  I took pictures with just the vest and just the jacket.  I will definitely be getting the sleeves lengthened on the jacket.

Vest with no jacket and jacket with no vest. (Click to show)

Nice, AAS. I like that vest, but I think I actually like the picture without the vest best.

Possible Family Values entrant:

A little snug at the midsection when buttoned, as are the pants. Hopefully to be remedied via my New Year's resolution.

Details... (Click to show)

Jacket - nSuited

Shirt - Kamakura

Tie - Kent Wang

Square - ConradWu

Pants - Howard Yount

Shoes - Vintage Florsheim

No vest wins for me, looks great AAS

Cotton Dockers, nice. I dont love that shirt with a tie, but that may just be me. Also, I think I will be wearing those same Younts for my challenge fit.

AAS - I also think the last iteration of that fit was the best.

AAS, as a non posting lurker, I just want to tell you how much I like your pics. Even I can put on a decent suit and a tie and hopefully look presentable, but (with deference to the nicely suited gentlemen here) it's much more difficult, in my opinion, to mix and match pants, jackets, vests etc., and come up with as something pleasing as you so regularly do. Nicely done.smile.gif

I like the jacket a lot, but I think the shirt should be a bit lighter to provide more contrast.

I agree that no vest looks better with that jacket, but the other question is what jacket would work with the vest.

Blue shirt, BTW...

Uncle Beebo, I can't help but think that the path of least resistance there would have been black calf shoes, but what you have makes sense. You're making me regret spending my "snuff suede tassels" fund on speeding tickets.
