I'd been meaning to do this for a while with some scarves I picked up (that double as pocket squares). @gringodaddy gave me the inspiration I needed to go forward with it for the last day of the year.

Happy new year to all you gents. Looking forward to a great 2014. Thanks for all your great advice and suggestions. May you and yours find yourselves in good health.

Haha, I'm guessing you didn't like it, but didn't you wear an ascot the other day?

Or am I going insane...?

^^^^ I'll leave my commentary out ;).  My surprise was more on how you associated me with an ascot.  You've got the wrong guy RTC, somone else get's credit for your inspiration.

Very nice, crusty. However, you're too late - I'm already liquored up.

Yeah, but a well-dressed lunatic native to the island of Manhattan I can take - it's the screaming mi-mi-s in Times Square and their ilk I wish to avoid . . .

Haha, part of the reason I avoided work today and am not venturing outside of a 4 block radius from my apartment.

^^^ Yes NYE is amateur night in the city.  Fortunately my upstairs neighbors are hosting a party!

A very wise man you are, Red.

Gringo, enjoy your party upstairs. I simply hope that you live in an elevator building - a walk-up (or down) while intoxicated might be more of an adventure than one might want as the start of a new year.
