Thanks for the feedback, guys. Appreciate it! As for the collar, for some reason, I have always favored forward point collars. All of my shirts (except for 2 spread and 4 OCBDs) are forward point collars. Would appreciate it if someone could explain why they don't work in my case or in this outfit.

As for the tie, I was under the impression that repp ties go well with SCs. Perhaps I was mistaken?

Repp ties are fine, just not that one - get something a bit more traditional, with a single or bolder stripe. And less shine. ;-)

As for the collars, a lot of it is down to personal choice of course; I favour wider collars, as I think they look smarter and more elegant but also because they compliment the tie knot a lot more. I find whatever kind of knot you do sits better when it is framed by a nicer collar. Generally the rule is that your collar points should be under your suit jacket.

^^Thanks for the explanation, Eviltime. That was very helpful. Now I know how I can further polish my look. And I didn't know that rule about collar points. Thanks!

Well its not a hard and fast rule, and there are some exceptions, but for the most part its a good rule to follow!

That´s the difference:

Your last outfit

vs. AAS outfit

But I see you are one of the people who say this color is red, even when 100 other people say it´s blue.

To be fair, I was only "thumbing" for the coat.  I like AAS's provocative style, but not this particular edition that's a Black Watch past the line. :)

As for Mr 38: I liked your hunting jacket, didn't like your stripey shirt with it.  Would be interested to see a full-length, and some more of what you've got.

N.B.  Like or not, I didn't feel the need to insult either of you.  Then again, I am wearing grey trousers today so I probably lack sufficient personality. :nest:

+1

I think the shirt is out of line with the rest. An light blue (or even a white) shirt with not to much pattern and the outfit would be a real good one.

Been awhile, still shady light, but just a few more days and it starts getting lighter. Slowly, slowly...
