Have you ever actually tried following the advice of the more conservative set on here? Like, wearing a rig that's relatively internally consistent in terms of formality? I can't recall seeing you post one. You might like it. It takes a lot less effort to make work.

- You are joking right?

most of the "Approved fits" border on completely lacking style.  sorry, i must be on Bland forum.

"Conforming" means you have no style. understand?

Conservatives????   oh, you mean the guys who claim to know more than others about style. while posting fits in suits that don't fit. and pants that are too short?.

who think only grey pants are stylish? i have seen those.

you will look great at 65. unless you are 30. in which case you have none.(style)

I wear my style, you wear an old man's. Deal?

while my wardrobe is full of nice suits, i dress appropriately according to the day's work, location and climate. and would rather not freeze my balls off , or slip over on ice. just for a follower's approval.and am supportive of members finding their own look that works for them. instead of telling them to dress like another member who probably looks very different.

as said in the quote en quote "good taste thread"  those lapels are massive, (1987?) and it just doesn't fit you.at every angle.

It looks like a pretty nice fit. Care to demonstrate what's up with it?

And as a thrifter, you should know what 1987 lapels look like. This gorge is too high for that.

your point?

put your bland fit where your typing is.

i started by being positive towards the recent fits, you ladies wanna re-enact an episode of the view. go ahead.

and the fit you liked?  lapels, gorge, torso fit, and pant length.

I think the point I was trying to make is something I'll leave up to each individual viewer.

As to aportnoy's suit, the lapels are very wide. The gorge is right in the middle. If you prefer a high one, that's fine. I like 'em on the high side myself. No break trousers are fine with me, but you don't have to like them. What's wrong with the fit through the torso there?

EDIT: Dude, the stealth edits are annoying. I'll fix typos in 'em, true, but not when I'm talking to somebody else online, and not in order to add a major point.

I don't say this often, but dude, you look like crap. Look at AAS for examples of how to pull of a shooting jacket.

This! The formality level of the shooting jacket and the trousers (both are more country style pieces) and the formality level of the contrast collar shirt, the tie and tie bar (these parts have more a business attitude) works not together.
