Thanks of the thumbs and kind comments from yesterday fistbump.gif. I really like that SC too inlove.gif, one of my better eBay scores.....

Trying out a new tie today, another eBay find I am really happy with (especially since I paid about $10 for it smile.gif )

Mimo, I had the pleasure of watching all 4 days and 1 hour up close and personal, including Johnson at 153 km/h.

But I see that as just payback for the 4 days of misery I sat through at Lords in July.

Didn't get around to posting this from last week. Shirt is a Barba linen blend and the tie is 100% linen from Henry Carter.

It's colder, but clear and predicted to be sunny today. Today is the middle of the hat trick of parties for the week - yesterday, a holiday party for a worthy cause; tonight, a holiday party for my condo, and tomorrow, a holiday party for work. Thankfully, I'm off Friday.

Suit, tie, cufflinks, scarf - BB
Shirt - Tyrwhitt
PS - PRL
Shoes - Bergdorf Goodman house brand
Overcoat - Adolfo
Hat - Selentino

Bent down to tie my shoes on the way home, heard a rip, and discovered that I ripped the lining of the blazer. Well... atleast I can move my arms more now...

That's a great tie Spandexter, I really like it.

And now, may I present "The Tie of Hate":

My first ever post was a picture of this tie and it got slated. However, I did learn from that and developed a better understanding about textures and colours etc. However, this morning I just felt like wearing this and I liked it as part of the overall fit. I do intend on getting a much nicer red tie, perhaps a deep red knit tie, and am also aware that red ties get no love here on SF. But I guess somedays you just dress for yourself.

Tie is from Lewin who also do ties. ;-)

Shirt is Savoy Taylors Guild.

'Wrong attitude' all my own.

Luxire, pls add a leopard print shirting. That is all. :D

Plus fours, not fourths. Named because they should extend to 4" below the knee. Your outfit is nice in an abstract sense, but I must ask, where were you wearing it? I like anachronistic outfits more than many here do, but can't think of any location where plus fours don't look a bit, well, ridiculous. And that includes a golf course (pace Payne Stewart).

And remember, I wore a particularly daft bow tie yesterday, so it's not as if I don't wear silly stuff myself frequently. But plus fours?

Really lovely outfit, but marred by that shirt collar which appears to overlap at the button... maybe a bit too large?

I don't normally nitpick like this, but when the rest of the fit is good, it stands out.

It's a eyecatcher, for sure. But delete the square, and I reckon this would be a bold, garish but fun look. With the square, it's too much IMO.

Collar is a bit loose on the jacket compared to your usual?

Another example of a tie (and jacket) that are bold enough that the addtion of a pocket square detracts from the overall effect rather than adds to it. Maybe a different one would work better, but I think it would be stronger all round without it at all.

And my own outfit from today. And yes, chilly enough that I wanted the scarf as well as the turtleneck.
