They are often sub$200, but you can get them for less during sales or in the B&S thread (as I have been able to do...some HY trousers were posted there recently). The Donegal Tweed trousers at HY look quite nice (I think there is an orange/brown of the same fabric at Epaulet).

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'm tending toward HY and Kent Wang.

Not sure how tall you are, but I'm 6'2" and the Howard Yount's have a rise that is just a wee bit low. Doesn't stop me from wearing my flannels however, the quality is excellent.

but you both should not be disappointed. i would never have expected you to like it. it was a calculated "non good taste fit." i know it would never appeal to you and anyone whos goal is a certain aesthetic. i realized i had a bunch of PoW items. i wanted to wear them together because i thought it would be cool and fun, and it was. i enjoyed it, i was not fired from my job, and many people here liked the look. and i think looked awesome in all its craziness.

yes HC, if i was going for a more tasteful look, a black grenadine and solid socks would have been great.

no it wasnt. if i i thought it was anything other than what i knew it to be, and if i posted it in the GT thread, it would be a fail. considering i was fully aware of what i was doing, it was in no way a fail. i am sure you still look at is fail just in as much as i decided to go ahead and do it.

Stitchy had great fun today. It was an attention getting look and, really, rather clever. It's like having Cocoa Crispies with chocolate milk: The ONLY way to eat them. biggrin.gif

As long as your having fun and not taking yourself too seriously, then that's half the battle so good on you stitch.
