Love the suit. Didn't spoiler it because it deserves to be seen more than once. And you could easily get away with wearing that jacket as a SC. What's the fabric?
Well, 'illegal' is going a bit far - there are no tartans that it is illegal to wear and haven't been since the Eighteenth Century so far as I know. However, many Scots would think that wearing an official clan or regimental tartan when you aren't entitled to wear it, is at the very least culturally insensitive, if not outright wrong. This is especially true if you are English in Scotland.
Today: the Pink Tie. I'd normally avoid pink ties, but I've had this Canali number for a while now and I quite like the texture and design and it holds a good knot. The normal problem with ties of this colour is that they are lighter than the shirt so invariably you have to wear them with a white shirt. However, I went for light blue. And is this any different from, say, a yellow tie, which would also be lighter?
I *think* this works reasonably well but I'd wonder what people thought.
