I would never have thought of that, I suppose because when I think of swollen seams I think of heavier, more country-fied and textured cloths, and single-breasted. But in retrospect, it might have been quite interesting to try as a further softening of the look. Too late for this one, but an idea for something else I have in the pipe. Thank you for the thought.
I've heard from Paul Winston, of Chipp (who drew my attention to how important the swelled edge is), that one can have them added if the existing edge is plain, like yours.
I like swelled edges quite a bit. I can't really get down with patch pockets without either those, or Neapolitan-style double-stitching.
