Very much non-monochrome today.....

Question Re: the buttoning point on this jacket. It's lower than pretty much any jacket I own (it's probably falls about 1-2 cm above my belly button). Since I have a long torso I have previously pretty much resigned to the fact that I end up with a slightly high buttoning point on most jackets (probably 4-6 cm higher than this one). This jacket is much more in line with what all the "books" say where the buttoning point should fall. However, it feels super low to me. Is it just me that is not used to "proper" buttoning points or is this one in fact too low? (There is a crappy robo-pose pic in the spoilers below that show the buttoning point more clearly)

I would say probably yes. I have the same issue, as I am 6'5" and have a long body, so jackets often look short on me, and the buttons are quite high. It *looks* normal enough on the photo, I'm not sure if you wanted to get the jacket taken in a bit around the waist... that might make the button "feel" higher, as it'll be tighter to your body. I often find that happens.

Brown shoes, no cuffs, aggressive no-break: are you sure you're from London and not Rome?  :D

Hello again folks...
Just got this lovely heavy tweed raglan sleeved coat, I think once the sleeves have been lengthened it should serve me well.

I can't see any reason you should not be lookin just as sharp, but you gotta make some changes in what you keep/ throw out and what you're buyin. Dull shirts, bad ties, and orphaned / outdated suit jackets aren't doing you any favors!

Blazer - Suitsupply | Tie - RLPL (ebay) | Trousers - Howard Yount | Shirt - Proper Cloth (prob $95) | Pocket Square - the Tie Bar | Shoes - Sid Mashburn (ebay) | Trench coat - Club Monaco

Thanks. I'll stay on the lookout for this kind of stuff!

What I've been adding has gone done considerably since I'm being way more picky now. I guess some stuff will be sold off or re-donated.

Nice, but the fit isn't up to your usual standards. I second the suggestion to have the waist taken in a bit. The buttoning point is fine.

There has been an epic string of good fits in here over the last 24 hours. Well done, everyone.
