HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 4305

Noodles: take the advice on the PS - but if you're going for a white one, then make it a blue or micro shirt: white and white is always too cold and obvious in my book, but even more stark against a bright suit and a bright tie.  Very cable TV presenter.  That bastard suit is something you can carry (*let the waist out*) just fine, but it's loud and needs some soothing.  Like Stitchy said, a neat would work. Or something with a bit of texture like a grenadine or cashmere weave.  But most of all, something in a muted tone: dark burgundy, brown as in the example, even deep green.  Against a light blue or micro-stripe shirt that would really soften the effect.  But not bright red.  Really.  And preferably never a white shirt with this one (white shirts are often very sharp with grey suits though, IMO).

Stitchy: total Joo gangsta look is clearly how your survive the mean French-proof streets of B'More.  Looking awesome my friend.  Pack in the gaspers, though, it's a kindness to your wife and babies. :)

Timo, from this small sample, that suit looks stunning.  Beautiful shoulders and shape, insane lapels, cloth looks gorgeous.  Story please.

After getting home yesterday I agree that something is a bit off, maybe its the extra 35 lbs or so I'm carrying right now.

WATCH OUT BEHIND YOU!!!

I'm not sure I buy into the 'fixed everything up' philosophy. If it shifts as you walk and move around, that's how you appear to everyone else. It's a pretty awesome way to appear to everyone else though. Just call it sprezz next time!

I'm not one to talk on here, but I'm wondering why the shoulder seems to 'bump' up in the line from the neck. It makes the lines look a little funny to my eye. Also, I think you could have gone a little bolder with the tie. The contrast of the orange and your tan blazer don't quite do it for me. I probably would have worn a tie which had a lot of red in it.

My (negative) $0.02

I have very broad shoulders, so I think the fit is thrown off a bit when I'm holding the camera out for a pic.  It falls more neatly when my arms are at my side.  I guess this is a reason for me to find a better method for the full fit pic, as I do welcome these type comments.  The tie choice was non negotiable though as its my university tie and I was leaving from work to go the football game.

Usually no, but I was in the box last night so a sport coat was appropriate.

No fit pics today as I'm working remotely and nursing a hangover.

LS, I've also been carrying a lot of weight, so I'm not trying to be a dick here: these very heavy cloths aren't doing you any favours, even if they were a little more forgiving in fit.  Because they're quite thick, they're stiff, so they won't drape smoothly over your middle.  Every little tight area is exaggerated and when the jacket's done up, the skirts tend to stick out in front of you.  It might be time to size up a touch, and maybe go for some slightly lighter, smoother-draping cloths that give you a neater silhouette.

Edit: Butch, you told me after the incident with Derek's fetishwear that I wasn't allowed to complain about denim any more.  But the other point is that you're totally casual, and the denim for all its inherent poorness (IMO!), is at least congruent with the rest of your "street" look.  It's when it gets sneaked in with a jacket and tie pretending to be "classic menswear-lite", that I really risk a knipchen.  You look better in proper clothes, of course.  But you're still a stylish dude this way too.  And you're wearing proper shoes to remind everyone you're an adult.  I approve, albeit cautiously. :)

I might have to keep wearing sweaters till I have my jackets altered :p

Had to be at work at 6 today so put together something last night that was reasonable for a friday with no patients.

(Should have fixed the sweater. Not sure why it's poofy. It probably got lifted up when I did jumping jacks before taking this picture so I could feel impressive!)

I WARNED YOU DAMMIT!

Point taken.  I haven't worn any of my winter weights since last winter and clearly they need some touching up.  Next week is going to be warmer so I'll post some picks in my year round type gear.  Hopefully those fits are better.

True.  However, I've just realised that you parked in a disabled space when you went to get coffee and had your car towed, which gives the pic a whole new flavour :)

I love them. You get a great knot, they have a very nice width and the finish is great. :D
