This is an excellent first post. Sure, there are a few problems (lapels are too thin, jacket sleeves are a touch short and there might be something wrong with the shoulder (too small?)), but as first posts go this fit is streets ahead of most first posts on here. Welcome.

Trying a Claghornian (?) pose today with my new Conrad Wu tie. Colors are a bit darker than IRL:

It comes from wanting to wear particular items or wear particular looks (and being fortunate enough to be able to do so in my line/lifestyle). If you don't actually want to wear any of this stuff (or don't have the occasion), then there's little reason to force yourself into it. In fact it would probably be unwise to do so.

Very true. I look at floral ties with disgust and make fun of my colleagues when they do wear them but you pull it off very well. Just saying. I probably would not ever wear floral but I am sick of being so conservative in my look and so I am trying to do other things.

CD, I love that tie, and that jacket is perfect. Wonderful fit too.  And I can see where you're going with the similar tones/country theme, and the contrast PS to keep it all alive.  But I think a navy jacket or suit with that tie, and a navy, burgundy or green tie with that jacket, would be more inspiring arrangements.

I'm sure he can pull off the stroller, I was just confused by the usage of the "business suit" term. In fact it's quite nice to see someone wearing a stroller, and a nicely fitting one at that.

I really like these shoes, but what do you lot think? I like the simplicity of the look and the cap toe. Probably interview shoes for me, no? I'll condition and polish them again soon.

Orange Monster on a nato strap.

First attempt at scarf wearing (of the week, I should add, not in my life).

Great watch, I have it as well and I love it.

Having said that, I'd never wear it in a formal or semi-formal setting. It shines at the beach, don't bring it to boring meeting rooms. :D

Haha, I was going to be jealous while simultaneously giving you props for wearing one for the first time ever just for a challenge :)

It's a fun little timepiece. I'm on the hunt for an affordable slim automatic lately. Might get something from orient or citizen for next fall...

That said, I can get away with mixing it up a little bit here sometimes. I have a hamilton for the days when I just can't. I would never wear this to an interview, for instance!

fit is a big improvement over the past ones. bow tie looks too big though (admittedly, im no expert on that), and is too matchy with the PS, looks like they were sold as a set almost. and love or hate the watch, it does not jive with the rest of the fit imo.
