Congratulations, RD, that's a fantastic selection you've got there!  I'm guessing it's going to seem like a long time to the end of the month again (I know the feeling...)

Thanks, yeah this is going to be a long month! But it was worth it, I'm quite happy with this jacket. The extended and slightly "roped" shoulders finally manage to give me a silhouette where hips are not wider than upper torso, and together with the flared skirt results in a waist, something I don't have smile.gif

Depressingly cold and rainy today, but at least I get to wear tweed....

The weather has turned from unseasonably warm to unseasonably cool, giving me the perfect excuse to try out some wintry looks today. Note that my choice of shirt failed to take into account the fact that said shirt has button cuffs, not double cuffs, hence the cufflinks chosen to wear have gone unworn. Oops - oh, well . . .

Suit - BBGF
Shirt & tie - BB
Cufflinks - Benson & Clegg
PS - Ashear
Vintage watch chain
Shoes - Harris, via Barney's NYC
Overcoat - BB
Scarf - Barney's
Hat - Selentino

DonC: Love it! Odd vests are a funny one, but I like it here.

Very nice indeed. Would love even more if the square wasn't almost exactly the same colour as the shirt.  The tie is a really great choice for that solid shirt/suit backdrop.

It's personal preference, but I think a little bit more length to the jacket, maybe 0.5" or so, and moving the bottom button down by the same amount, would balance a jacket out just a little more.

Now wake-up!! :decisions:

The button stance is rather low already, much lower than other jackets I have, and both my tailor and I decided to make this jacket shorter by exactly half an inch compared to the previous one... maybe a robopose with arms down would help to better judge proportions smile.gif

The only small quirk I have with this jacket is that the pitch on the left sleeve is a bit off. It came from the factory without sleeves, then the tailor basted one of them with the correct pitch and sent it back to the factory to be finished. The sleeve that was basted was correctly hung, but they didn't do the same with the other one, which came with the "default" pitch. It's almost unnoticeable and I don't think I will bother having it fixed, as I don't walk around with my arms hanging in a robotic pose all the time anyways. Maybe when this F/W season ends I will ask the tailor to send it back to re-hang the sleeve, but I don't want to leave the jacket there for another month, or I won't get to wear it much tongue.gif
