Thoughts I had (Click to show)
I already had the pants tapered, but perhaps not aggressively enough? Or maybe they just need to be pressed? I'm not sure.
Is a 4x1 too vintage?
The lapels are pretty buff, but it may be ok with double-breasted and peaks?
Is the scale on suit and shirt too similar? Maybe the suit pattern is subtle enough that it doesn't matter?

I'm not a fan of this look.  The lapel gorge on the jacket is too low, it's unvented and the button stance is too low.  It also appears as if their some puckering at the back seam as if it was taken in there and not pressed.  It's hard to believe that you had the pants tapered.  I would definitely recommend a second round of tapering.  I don't notice a pattern in the suit, but the shirt and tie are clearly both stripped.  I think a shirt with a tighter stripe would look better.  The shoes also look a bit big.  There's a pretty large gap at the back of the heel.  I do like the shoes however.  Lastly, I'm not a fan of double windsor knots.  I think the knot could be tighter at the bottom.  I think it would make the dimple look better.  This is just my opinion.  Thank you for sharing your outfit.

chocosa,

You definitely need bigger sunglasses. Or wider.

you may be right.. but I would have to go the custom route to do that.. and I am really not going to do that.. so for now, this is all she wrote...

You may want to try AO Original Pilots in 57MM. My brother has a fairly large head and they work well on him.

If you're more into the teardrop shape, I believe RE Concordes come in 61mm.

Bah, you get to see them once a week on Fridays. Otherwise, it's too much a hassle to screw on my dress peg legs.
So you only screw once a week, is that it?

Helpful.  Like Choco I have a really big head; I've never found sunglasses that fit me well.  Bendy Oakleys for the beach are fine, but the wire-framed every day ones are never quite right.  Any more suggestions?  Cheap is good...

Some might call you an optimist.  But you've not been married long. :D

I've never had a shantung tie before.  I like this a lot.

Foo is obviously the king of the oversized head, but I'm willing to bet mine is disproportionately larger than Choc's, who is like 6 foot twenty.

I thought Foo just had an undersized body?  Yes, Choc is eight feet seven or something, but in proportion I reckon I'll give you a fair run!  I'm 5'11".
