HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III - Page 4191

Nice work, NOBD!  I just passed 30 months; you got through the worst and must be feeling the benefits.  Well done, dude, go treat yourself so some excellent trousers by way of celebration.  And maybe a bowler hat and a monocle. :smarmy:

Monkey: it's not nasty or anything, but not quite IMO.  The jacket is so strong I think a simpler shirt would be better, maybe an oxford?  And the shirt, I think, wants a donegal or a herringbone...something with a lot of country texture, but without a big pattern.  That jacket is sensational, though.

Went for a bolder patterned shirt today, its a sunny and cold day in Dublin so I thought, why not? I'm not crazy myself on the collars, I prefer more of a wider spread, but its a nice fitting shirt and very comfortable.

Shirt: Dalvey

Tie: Dalvey

PS: Vintage, silk

Suit: M&S Sartorial

Todays "selfie".  Cold and rain in NYC = heavy Harris Tweed!

Yeah, we're thinking the same. I actually changed into a herringbone jacket before leaving the house:

Thanks, mimo! 30 months: bigstar[1].gif

Good idea. With my eyes I need a duocle (wut?), though. : )

Look at the shoulder seams; perfect. Look at the shirt at the waist. Had it been any more narrower, it would look silly with the fullness of everything else. Wider, it would billow. The only nitpick could be the neck, which seems too small, but as I doubt that shirt was ever made to be worn with a tie (and the top button to be buttoned), I suspect that's just right as well.

Already thumbs-upped this post, but worth reposting. The fit (in both senses of the word) is excellent.

HF: I've been on the fence, but I'm now convinced that my next navy blazer will be herringbone. I think I have the fabric in mind.

Rudals: Jacket fits very well. There are those (and they are legion) that will rail against the hard three. I am not one of them.

lukejackson: the jacket is bespoke linen, more blue than what it appears in the picture.

Monkey: great minds!

NOBD: two monocles would be greedy :)

HF: that suit is absolutely stonking.  Nice combo too.

Roy: taking on the navy trouser challenge?  And winning, I think.
