Needs more of that secret service guy with the badass fits :slayer:

First time wearing this jacket, obviously needs lighter trousers, but didn't have time to press them this morning so I wore the only ones that were already pressed.

Tie is Cappelli madder

Day Two of jury duty. Insofar as yesterday's ensemble made me look like "safe juror pick" (in the opinion of RogerP, who is, I believe, a member of the legal profession), today's attire, I hope will simply look like "better dressed than the defense attorney, the prosecutor, or the judge". We shall see - as it was, the only people who saw my attire yesterday were the other jurors in the jury pool, and the jury room clerks.

Suit & shirt - BBGF
Tie - BB
Cufflinks - Boston Museum of Fine Arts
Vintage watch chain
Shoes - New & Lingwood

I can only second Timo's comment about light quality - not easy taking even half-decent pics without proper lighting.

Finally managed to find a well-fiiting pair of mid-grey flannels last week, trying them out for the first time today. Incotex, very good construction and looks to be of good quality, but oh man were they expensive baldy[1].gif. Oh well, they will be put throughs some heavy use - I seem to wear mid-grey flannels at least three days a week - so hopefully they will hold up well.

Rdiaz, congrats on the tie - stunning!

Crusty, I guess you don't know what the defendant is looking for.  So you might as well look great and take your chances.  Job done.

Maybe some of our trial lawyers can illuminate, but I bet this rig keeps Crusty off of a jury. I would guess that dressing this well would be as much of a turn-off as dressing extremely poorly.

This also makes me thing of Liz Lemmon on 30 Rock dressing as Princess Leia to dissuade attorneys from putting her on a jury...

I still have time for the Princess Leia look - I'll merely glue two cinnamon Danish to the sides of my head satisfied.gif Do you think that they'll clash with the watch chain?

They might.  And for boys growing up in the 70s and 80s who remember the Princess most fondly, the image would be deeply disturbing!

Cool and crisp, but also bright and sunny. Today was not one for tweed.

This.

SWD is not the kids section or the hipster section or anything like that. It is a totally different mode of dress, and the fit goals and objectives are completely different than they are here in MC.

It takes some time reading the thread to understand what is considered good and what is considered bad there, but I think that fit from MoK is absolutely fantastic. It looks completely perfect on him and all of the items look exactly how they should look optimally.

As Conrad said, if you don't understand it, just accept that, there's no need to belittle it.

It took me a little while of daily reading to understand, but once you do, it does make plenty of sense.

I think you need to wear brown or tan shoes to pick up the cinnamon tones.

My apologies. I think you are correct. In that case, big strong Polish muscles.

Here's some Yohji classic menswear for you Mimo - from the Spring 2014 collection.

Get out of that linen and into a bit of this.
