Colorwise I think this is great SB, but I wanted someting crunchier for the tie. The texture of the repp seems a little understated for the jacket.

That's his way. He is the only reason I wore a repp with my herringbone tweed jacket the other day. I like it.

HC - looking good.

Roy/Mimo, thanks for the comments. Do you think the "no tie with a BD" is purely a non-American thing? I can understand some people's aversion to wearing a BD with a suit, so is this just a continuum on this spectrum?  Would it matter if the BD was not oxford cloth? Or is it just the sporting heritage of the shirt itself? Just a matter of personal taste?

I would be curious to see how many on this board feel the same as you guys, and how much of that split would be correlated with geography.

Thanks, b_u. The tie is wool and a bit fuzzy. Definitely very matte. I would wear a repp with tweed, though. But you probably shouldn't follow my lead, CM... smile.gif

Nice socks!!

Though most people on this forum will disagree. Too matchy with the tie and watch in my opinion

Welcome to NYC. I assume that you'll be here on business, or is the purpose of your visit strictly leisure? Enjoy yourself, in any case. As for your scarf, it is very tempting, but my AmEx bill this month is monstrous - I fear that I must practice fiscal restraint shog[1].gif

Tom Miler got 28 likes so far for his last fit. That may be the most I've ever seen for anyone.

Could be the acrobatics, but either way, well deserved. I didn't even know this forum had a like function...

Could be. But whatever it is, it is the most likes I can recall.
