IMHO loafers are like topsiders, Nantucket reds, or barn coats, and you just need to suck it up and wear the hell out of them until they are sufficiently beat up to look good casually worn.

If you want them to look new and shiny then they are relegated to use with fine merino or cashmere sweaters and trousers if that is your style.

Loafers are one of the most versatile shoes out there. You can wear them with an odd jacket, but they won't look out of place with a casual suit either. Hell, you can even wear suede loafers with denim if that's your thing.

Colors kinda off. iPhone just loses its mind when there's anything reddish in the frame. I tried to desaturate, but it's still kinda vibrant. (Also, shirt is blue, suit is brown.)

And shorts if done properly. The mot versatile shoe for the modern man.

  Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Wow, this is probably one of the worst cases of off colours! The shirt looks white, the suit looks charcoal and the tie looks army green with red. It's too bad, because I always like seeing brown suits on here.

Indeed, it's probably the only appropriate shoe for shorts.

Victor, that's brilliant, if just a teensy bit disturbing.  Loving your autumnal textures and colours.

For only a few dollars a day, you can buy a starving artist some shirts with decent collars. I mean, damn.

Feedback appreciated. With dark brown chelseas.

YRR92,

I predict you will get zero love for this jacket/trouser combination, lol. Srsly though, I like the camel hair/dark trouser combination, although I can't say I like it as much with the charcoal trousers. I'd prefer navy. I do like the jacket itself though. It goes without saying I don't like the tie and belt, but it was obviously meant to be frivolous, so roll with it. The PS is a disaster. :D
