You need to buy only these pants for the future and find out whose MTM that was for the jacket and raid their house (the easier thing would be to have it made with those specifications, but its more fun to raid their house)

I wear suits too, but when I bulked up I went from 40 to 44, so my previous suits doesnt fit anymore. I'm renewing my suit wardrobe. My tailor hasn't given me back my suit. frown.gif

Good question I have about 15 suits but only about 6 SC's. I do want to add a black/grey plaid or loud check jacket, a new jacket to wear with denim, and probably couldnt hurt to add another navy worsted SC. All in good time though

I have ~30 sports coats and ~15 suits. Most times I wear the suits for working and the sports coat for the leisure time. I have some favourits and I try to give away some sports coats, I wear very rarely.

Now what is the ratio of trousers to SC? Is there a correlation or is it once you have the basics in navy, greys (mid, light, and dark) and all the earthy colors you are done or do you keep adding as you add more SC's?

And my question takes into the fact that you will have lighter trousers for warmer months and heavier trousers for colder months

I have nine or ten SCs but not all are wearable - a couple need alterations and a couple are just, well, plain nasty.

Eight suits. About eight or nine pairs of odd trousers; again, not all are wearable.

My real FAIL is ties. I must have at least fifty, and most of them would constitute fuel for the SF furnaces. I have always had a "thing" for loud ties, which is why I had a soft spot for Mikhael during his brief presence on this thread.

Since joining SF I have tried to replace some of the worst ones with some plain knits, foulards, Macclesfields, woollens and such-like.

But on another thread I've been praised for doing "louche" well (anyway, i think it was praise), so I won't consign all my look-at-me neckwear to the flames just yet.

I have no blue trouser except my two jeans, many grey and brown flanell or other wool trousers, chinos in light colors (beige, ice, green, red) many cord trousers in darker colors (brown, red, green, beige) and a few moleskin, linen and seersucker trousers. Altogether it´s nearly the same number as the sports coats.

I the near future I try to get a orange cord trouser and a wine moleskin trouser.
