^ I agree with your thought that either tan or cream trousers would work much better. Also, perhaps a tie a shade or two darker?
Thank you; it's actually ready-to-wear from Suitsupply (Soho model) though my usual English tailor did a few minor alterations (not much more than sleeve length & trouser finishing though, IIRC).
It's doing its best to peek out; the lapels are quite wide!
The second works better IMO.
I have the exact same suit, and the exact same problem. I went for a white shirt brown grenadine.
The PS issue is the same on all Soho jackets... those lapels! I can't even imagine what the new Maddison looks like as they are supposed to be even wider!
I work in London and have had 6 compliments on this suit, even one from a guy who worked in Dege and Skinner on the Row!
