Yesterday's outfit. A white PS would have been a better option, otherwise learning continues....

The lighting was seriously crappy here today, with rain and overcast skies it is more like dusk that daylight outside - a reminder of what is in store for the next few months angry.gif

Bingo on both - tie is cashmere from Vanda, trousers are moleskin from Pakeman Catto & Carter

Your fit looks great too, another argument against the SF silliness of no "grey SC". My only hesitation with your fit is that the bottom of the trousers are either too short or too wide for my taste - I'm leaning towards too short nod[1].gif

^^^ I MUST try one of those Kamakuras.

I like the moleskins a lot-  audacious color, and nothing beats the comfort :satisfied:

Gray SCs go best with gray IMO.  weird

yeah nice hand on the heavier Oxford cloth and the collars have that little bit of extra length.  not quite yr Mercer I guess, but the sizing is great off the rack.   the slim is just a bit slimmer than say the BB extra slim  :satisfied:

i think that phrase you just used is the root of much of the nitpicking here. people are annoyed by perfection as opposed to welcoming and appreciating it. its almost like many times people want to find something wrong with a fit, and they search and search until they can zone in on something to neg.

i know its absurd to pick that up from your post, and you were surely just joking, but i think there is truth to my observation.

no hate, but its something that often bothers me.

i fully expect to walk into a shit storm from this when i check back in.

Maybe some people might do this but if someone's fit looks close to "perfect" (whatever that is) I just think "Wow, that's nice/cool!" and I might get inspired by it.

HF - Looks good, doc. I really like that suit. I wonder though if maybe a slightly less shiny tie would work better with it. Ymmv

Interesting... That is not normally the shoulder shape I would associate with Oxxford.

Beautiful double-breasted. I really like the lapels and like salt on the neck ... congratulations to your tailor. But it is an Italian tailor?
