On a more serious note, that is a great looking SC, too bad we couldn't see more of it........

Thanks man! The shoes are by Alfred Sargent, for Herring Shoes. Just got them a few months back, but they seems to be of decent quality for the price. I am generally reluctant to spend top $$ for suede shoes (I just can't seem to keep them looking good over time), so these were a good compromise between quality and price...

Not a big fan of paisley, but that's an awesome tie! Deets? Would've preferred darker brown shoes though, but that's just me.

Bit of a throwback day, to the kind of look I liked a lot pre-SF (almost all the items are more recent, but I'm talking about the overall look). I still like it now too, mind you. But I don't wear it as frequently as I have more variety available to me these days. Anyway:

Went to see "Gravity" with the Wifey on Friday. Movie was good, not life-altering great as I was led to believe, but worth seeing in 3D.

Question - does the scale of the tie pattern clash with the flecks in the tweed?

I saw "Gravity" on Saturday - same reaction as yours - good, not life-alteringly great.

For me, the scale of the patterns do not seriously clash - they are similar in scale, but the tie's pattern has much higher contrast of elements within it (color and value-wise) in comparison to the fabric of the jacket.

A) I had never connected your SF with your tumblr.

B) How was I not following you on there before?

C) I don't think so, but it's borderline. Would be better with a textured solid jacket or a herringbone, IMHO.

Agreed, it's very borderline. Not just the pattern, but also the colours. It works, but it's a little matchy-matchy. That might just be the lighting though. Very nice combination otherwise, although your collar could use a bit more roll.
