I'm a recent convert to Islays myself. Been buying litre bottles of Laphroaig Quarter Cask (48%) at Sydney Airport duty-free store. Last time I switched to the Laphroaig "PX" which is given a final maturation in old Pedro Ximenez sherry barrels. Less smoky/peaty than the Quarter Cask but has a delightful floral sweetness to it.

In other news, I recently purchased a couple of Canali jackets and will try to construct a fit or two for your collective perusal later today.

Finally, I think I might create a new username for this site. The lame sophomore joke that is Coxaca wore out its novelty in about the first microsecond.

The suit in the middle is exactly what I have. A newb question: can i pull off that look with a red red tie and a pale blue shirt?!!!

Thanks.  I'm leaning in that direction.

mcobinad - SC and boots in the first pic are supremely fantastic.

I know this matter of Don's trouser taper has been the cause of some frank and vigorous exchange of opinions on this hear thread recently.

I agree with Foxxy. Those red dacks look really good on you, Don.

+1, although I think the jacket is just a wee tad short.

Nice that he kept the DB jacket buttoned while seated. Apparently this is "correct" for DBs. Anyway I read somefink to that effect.

Yes. Unbutton your SB but keep your DB buttoned.

Generally, I love this - and also the pictures with your family - I seem to remember you posting some very cute picture of your boys here a while back, right? You come across as someone who is totally confident in your own style and the clothes fit you well. However, equally as much as I love everything else, I hate the belt buckle. Seriously hate it. You just don't need it. It shouts 'brand' and this undermines the confidence of everything else. I think you would be much better off with a still high quality but much more understated, brand-less belt and buckle

Funnily enough, I don't have the same feeling about Mickael's LV case, largely because anything less showy would make his fit vulnerable to ordinary criticism, and it's so dedicated to its particular vibe that it's rather beyond that...

Dude point dexter, use the damn spoilers. For someone like me who try's to catch up lurking this thread, I don't need to see family photos x10 x2!! I must say I do like the family photos, thanks for sharing.

Don't nip the waist. See how the less shaped jacket makes you look much less pear-shaped, even though you usually take pics at an angle prone to do so. Plus, suppressing the waist doesn't always work as expected and you risk making it not fit as greatly as it does now!
