Summer's making a comeback.  Going out with a bang.

AAS, I can't help but think how nice this would look with a navy blazer instead.

I've worn a navy blazer 5 times in the last 6 days.  Love them, but I wanted to do something different today.  I actually got a new navy blazer in the mail this Wednesday.  I'm taking it to the tailor tomorrow.

AAS, I think the tie is just too saturated for the palette established by the other items.

Tweed, dammit. It's just on the edge of being too warm at midday, but I can no longer be denied.

AAS, This look is fantastic. I would wear it! It's different yet crisp/clean.

Tweed in SF? That's #menswear dedication.

Ebonyman, I think that RLBL is too tight/short on you. I see the lapels buckling at the chest

Hahaha, I feel ya - here we are reaching 30ºC (86F) at midday, but I'm at the office (with air conditioning) by that time. When I'm on my commute, we barely reach 13ºC (55F), so autumnal stuff is already wearable (thank God, cause my summer fits were utterly tasteless).

There is plenty of classic menswear in that link. For example:

I have never seen so many shiny suits per square inch of pavement real estate as I did in Seoul.

It is, thankfully, a trend that has fallen hard on the wayside. One of the interesting aspects of living in a country with such a collectivist mindset is that every trend is turned up to 11 until it reaches some saturation point and then just disappears. When I moved here in 2009, they were everywhere. Within two years, I was seeing them maybe 1 in 20 suits. Now I go entire weeks without seeing one. Shiny suits have been replaced by short jackets with skinny lapels. I'm half convinced that Asia is the origin of this trend.

Went to school with blazer and bow tie...

Went casual in the afternoon...

Bow tie is unlined silk from Berg & Berg - awesome stuff!

The quality of the pictures could have been better... sorry about that.

Sneak peek of my new Tom Ford suit. I got it for a hefty discount but it still nearly bankrupted me.

Will be having the sleeves shortened a little and the pants waist taken in. Also I have to lose a couple of kilos myself.

Just threw on a random shirt and tie for this snap. Once the alterations are done I'll try to post a proper fit.
